Our beliefs
We are Mira & Chi-Yeun: sisters, friends and partners in crime. Our life and career paths have always been as different as our personalities, still we have a lot in common. Most importantly, we share the same beliefs which are now the cornerstone of THE BIG NEXT:
We believe that everyone is equipped with their unique blue print of talents, joy sparkers, values, beliefs & passion.
We believe that everyone has the responsibility to use these unique talents to make this world a better place.
We believe that every talent applied to the greater cause, will have an impact, visibly or invisibly.
We believe that serving others and placing value on something greater than yourself brings purpose, meaning and happiness.
Our journeys in a nutshell
Having grown up as second-generation Koreans in Germany –and now settled in the Netherlands with a multi-cultural family sprinkled around the globe– we have always regarded ourselves as internationals and more so: as global citizens.
Our professional journeys have been quite eventful and enterprising.
Both of us have started with a, let’s say, ‘traditional‘ approach of career life: studies, internships, corporate life. We’ve been experiencing the ins and outs – the benefits and promotions, hick-ups and challenges, ambitions and expectations, pressures and rewards, status and financial security – of a convenient, stable and safe corporate path. But the longing for more fulfilment in work didn't give us a rest… and eventually took us on our journeys.
As we navigated through new stages and territories of professional life –such as new studies, different career directions, and entrepreneurship– we built our lives around our values, idealism and gusto: by ideating–trying–failing–redesigning–repeating it all over.
While our individual paths looked quite different, we came to the same conclusion: Happiness and fulfilment doesn’t just happen like this. It takes courage, curiosity and creativity to explore all the different options out there to design a life that matches your talents, purpose and needs – and it’s never done! Life is at its best when it’s filled with wild expectations, adventures, bloopers, hardships and successes. And the process of trial and error is actually the most valuable part of it.
Today – many years later – our definition of success is based on placing value on others, helping & empowering them, and supporting causes that are close to our hearts. And based on this spirit THE BIG NEXT was born.
We teamed-up our 20+ years of work experience in the fields of Coaching & Education (Chi-Yeun) and Creative Consultancy, Marketing & Design (Mira) to offer a most elaborate, effective program for women who want to get most of their professional lives:
We help professionals to discover their many-facetted talents, equip them with all tools for a strong Personal Brand to present themselves on the market, and prepare them to explore new career directions outside their comfort zone.
